About the CECA 21: Infrastructure North Conference

The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) was founded in 1996 and is to celebrate two decades of making the case for infrastructure with a major high-level conference. CECA's members include some of the largest construction firms in the world, as well as a range of small specialist and regional companies. Together, these companies are all working towards delivering the Government's ambitious programme of road and rail investment across the UK.

CECA's annual conference for 2017 will focus on the ambitious agenda of rebalancing the Northern economy, driving the Northern Powerhouse Agenda, and addressing the skills needs that will be needed to deliver the Government's infrastructure pipeline.

The CECA 21: Infrastructure North Conference will take place at the National College for High Speed Rail on Tuesday 28 November 2017. CECA 21: Infrastructure North is supported by CITB.

The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) is the representative organisation for those companies who build, maintain and upgrade the nation’s infrastructure. With more than 300 member companies based across eight regions, and a national office at the heart of Westminster, CECA represents firms who carry out an estimated 70-80 per cent of all civil engineering activity in the UK, in the key sectors of transport, energy, communications, waste and water. CECA members employ close to 250,000 people in the UK, range in size from the largest multinationals to local SMEs, and together deliver work annually worth an estimated £25 billion.
